Finding home insurance in California at the current moment can be a challenging experience. Many carriers are not writing policies at all in the state, which makes the options extremely limited. We went to our historical insurance company, which we had home owners through for 15 years prior to a 15 month gap after selling our home. They were not interested in writing our policy even given our history together.
